Okay, I’m going to have to blame Sinnim for this one. ย A while ago, she had this product in her video for her Peri Pera sponsored video. ย Yes yes, I know, it was a sponsored video but I still trust her judgement even if it was a sponsored video. ย Back when I was picking out products to review on Jolse, I was in a big contouring kick, so I had to pick this one up. ย I personally have had decent luck with Peri Pera products, so this was a easy pick for me. ย So let’s check this product out together and see if it is any good :D.

How to use:
1) Apply Nose up shading to the face according to your face shape. ย If you need reference, Google a picture of your face shape and look for a guideline of how to contour your face accordingly.
2) Use fingertips to blend in the contour cream to deepen and sculpt the face.
3) Start at the inner corner of the brow and tap gently on each side of the nose for extract highlighting effect!
Product packaging:
Packaging for this contour cream pen comes in a clickable pen form with a rounded doe foot applicator. ย Depending on which of the two shades you pick for the contour color, the lid will coordinateย accordingly.
Popping off the lid, you’ll see the rounded doe foot applicator which dispenses the product on clicking the bottom of the pen. ย When you first get your pen, you’ll have to click it several times for the product to even come out. ย My mistake was clicking too many times to the point of the product squirting out HAHA. ย It was pretty bad but I mean, I clicked 30 times and the product choose not to cooperate with me. ย What else could I do?
Color/ Pigmentation:
ย Both the shades offered for the contour pen looked super natural, but shade #1 looked like it would just disappear on my skin. ย So I personally choose shade #02 and it worked out great for me. ย The undertone of contour cream had a slight grey undertone but still had a slight warmth to it. ย Blended out, the contour looked super natural, which I am all for. ย If you are looking for a super sharp and defining contour, you may not like this one since this is on the more natural, everyday contour.
Texture/ Finish:
The cream feels lightweight on the skin and isn’t a super thick cream which I appreciate. ย Blended out, it stays in a cream state but slightly sets, but not enough for it to become a cream-to-powder consistency. ย The finish is very natural, and isn’t glowy in any way so it hides away really nicely on the skin.
Lasting power:
Since this contour is so natural, to be honest, I can’t really tell when it wore off but I’ll give you my approximate HAHA. ย Wear time for this contour is about 4-6 hours on the unset, dewy-finished BB cushions I usually wear. ย Do keep in mind, I live in a low-humidity, cool climate area and my skin is dry to very dry so it clings onto anything and everything.
Fragrance?:
There is a slight scent to this product but it isn’t strong at all and it disappearsย after application. ย To me, it kind of smells like poly doh but not in a disgustingย way. ย Smell-o-scale: 4/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Okay, let’s try this contour out.
Since I have a long face with a bigger forehead and a slightly pronounced jawline, I usually like to define all those areas.
This is just a guideline on how to contour. ย Please contour according to your own needs and face shape.
Now that I got the contour cream down, just use either a brush or a sponge to blend it into the skin. ย I personally just like to use the air puffs from BB cushions since it is easy, convenient and it also does a great job.
You see how natural that is? ย It might be a little too natural for some people, but this is how I like to look from a day to day basis.
Can you tell which side is shaded and which side isn’t? ย The difference is subtle but you can definitely tell something is there to slim down the face.

Overall thoughts:
Although I think this product is good at what it does, I think it comes with way too little of product for me to justify repurchasing. ย I mean 3 grams for $12 is a little too expensive, don’t you think? ย Packaging makes it very easy and convenient to use but the doe foot applicator also brings up the “is this sanitary” question. ย I personally don’t think it’s a huge issue if you were to use this everyday, most likely you’ll run out of product in a month anyways. ย The finish is really nice and natural, but even for me who isn’t that dark, the contour almost disappears to nothing. ย Overall I’m happy with the finish of the product and the way it looks, but I wouldn’t be able to justify repurchasing for those reasons.
