Olens scandi color contacts review

Olens scandi try on review color contacts for brown eyesAfter the release of Russian Velvet and the Spanish line, I didn’t think Olens could top it but they did!ย  They came out with a new line called Scandi and at first glance, it looked like the Spanish line.ย  Naturally, I was curious to see how they compare and which one I liked better.ย  Luckily for me, Olens Global hooked your sister up and we are here to try them on and compare the two lines!

P.S I got a coupon code at the end and will also show you the other deals they have at the moment!

Olens ambassadorIf you haven’t checked out my other Olens reviews, check out my Russian velvet review, Spanish line review, as well as other shades I tried in the past!ย

If this is your first time wearing contacts, please check out the first portion of my Russian velvet line to read all about the precautions, checking which is the right side for the lense to sit properly in the eye and cleaning processes.ย  Yes people, YOU NEED TO CLEAN THESE EVERY TIME YOU WEAR IT.ย  So even if it is a monthly contact, it means you wash it DAILY.ย  I don’t want anyone losing their vision because of this.

best color contacts for dry eyesAt the moment, the Scandi line has three shades but I reckon they will come out with more shades.ย  Russian velvet, Spanish and Scandi are definitely the top three lines in my opinion and can see they be the best sellers for years to come. I’ve tried a few color contacts from brands like Air optics, Freshlooks, Acuvue and good old Geo lenses from back in the day. All of them look super bright, fake and you can see the pixels so clearly that it just makes you look like an alien.

Not Olens.ย  Not only are they super moist and comfortable on the eyes, they’re the go-to color contacts for dark brown eyes.ย  So if it works so well for dark brown eyes, they are sure to work fantastic with all eye colors.

color contacts olens reviewCompared to the Russian velvet and Spanish line, these ones last 5 years instead of the 3-4 years.ย  So odd!

If you are wondering about prescriptions, they go up by these intervals:
-0.00, -0.50, -1.00, -1.25 and goes up -0.25 up to -8.00

Color contact brand OlensEach box contains 2 contact lenses.ย  If you have two degrees like me, you will have to purchase 2 boxes but luckily, these are on bogo!ย  So for the price of $29, you get 2 boxes, 4 lenses= 2 pairs!

Olens colored contacts reviewAnd here are the lenses not on the eyeball.ย  I wish I had one of those lens holder things that Olens has so I could take a decent picture of them close up without having them dry out on me.ย  But for now, close up eye shots is the best we can do.

Olens color contacts for dry eyes reviewAt first, I thought the graphic diameter was bigger than Russian velvets, but upon closer look, Russian velvet has a graphic diameter of 12.9mm while Scandi (and Spanish) has 11.9 mm.ย  The smaller diameter actually works in Scandi’s favor because it creates a natural circle lens effect without all the pain of wearing it for a long period of time.

Comfortability-wise, it would be the same duration as Russian Velvet which is about 6 hours before I’d have to take it off.ย  Please be advised that color contacts are a substitute for your regular contacts.ย  You can wear it every day but try not to since it does strain your eyes.ย  Think of them more as make-up for your eyes.ย  You don’t wear makeup for 24 hours, so think of it as the same.ย  I always carry a contact lens case with a solution with me when I go out so if my eyes do get tired, I can just take them off right away.

Scandi Hazel is a cool tone light golden yellowish brown.ย  Against my dark brown eyes, it does almost look like there is a hint of green around the ring but I also could be making things up haha.

Monthly color contacts Olens reviewWhat I really like about the Scandi line is the way that the graphics look almost drawn into the eyes.ย  It also got down those lines in the iris perfectly. The best way I can describe what I’m trying it say is when you are watching a movie and the character is going through a portal and the surroundings are closing in except for the center.ย  I’m pretty sure that made absolutely no sense but let’s just say the Scandi did a great job at making it look super realistic.

Olens scandi hazel reviewEven though the color difference is like night and day, Scandi still looks super natural and if I had both on, you would have never been able to guess unless you are super close up.

Olens scandi comparison to spanish brownNext to the Spanish line, Scandi is way more dramatic and full eye change whereas Spanish brown is more of an accent for your existing eye color.

Olens scandi hazel comparasion to russian velvet and spanish Now comparing the Spanish and Russian velvet with Scandi, I actually like Scandi over my long time favourite Russian velvet!!ย  Of course, each one would have its occasion to wear them.ย  Scandi I would wear it when I have a strong eye makeup, Spanish line would be an everyday one and Russian velvet would be when I’m wearing some eye makeup but I still want to keep it natural.

Scandi hazel try on reviewI normally don’t care too much for Gray since it always looks too dramatic or starkly bright on my dark brown eyes.ย  However, this Scandi gray has become my favourite EASILY!!!ย  With the light and darkish gray mixed with the golden light brown in the center, it almost makes my eyes look a bit green too with a hint of a reddish-brown in the center.ย  It isn’t too bright and pale gray but also looks like I’m wearing circle lenses.

Olens scandi gray comparison to spanish real grey and russian velvet greyNow compared to each other, the Scandi gray is definitely a warmer gray compared to the other two.ย  The Spanish grey is a cool tone blue with a mix of light grey and dark gray but more focused on the ring of the iris while Russian velvet grey is a super cool tone grey with hints of light brown all over.ย  It also covers the whole Iris for a super dramatic look but makes me look like a nightwalker unless I have a dark smokey eye.

Olens scandi olive reviewI love me a green eye but it never seems to come out right.ย  This Scandi Olive isn’t as green as I was hoping and looks more like a muted version of the hazel.ย  So if you are looking a shade that melts into your eye color but still has a lighter eye look, the Olive might be fore you.

Olens scandi olive comparison to spanish olive and russian velvet greenOut of the three, Scandi is the subtle but gorgeous one, while the Russian velvet green would be something I’m looking for if I wanted one that has a bit more green in the shade.ย  I think the Spanish Olive kind of missed the mark and doesn’t look green at all.ย  I would recommend either Scandi or Reussin velvet if you are looking for a green color contact.

Olens scandi review try on against dark brown eyesOut of the three, which one is your favorite?ย  I’m surprised I actually like all three and will actually wear all three!!ย  For the first time I won’t be scared to wear gray out the house whoo whoo!!ย  With time, Olens is perfecting their designs and the graphics are becoming more and more natural.ย  Overall I give these another stellar review and are now a new favorite!!

I hope this demystifies the latest Scandi line.ย  Out of the three lines Spanish, Russian Velvet, and Scandi, which is your favorite, and what shade?

Thank you so much for this review! I have been searching through the Internet for the difference between the Scandi line and some corresponding colours in the Spanish line but I havenโ€™t been successful. This comparison is so useful for me!

I actually get a lot of compliments on all the color contacts I’ve tried so far. Russian velvet, spanish line and even scandi line all are amazing and looks supernatural. It really depends on what look you want to achieve and what color suits your skintone the best.
