Nooni water blending lip mask & oil review and demo

Noon water blending lip maskNooni, a brand that I kind of have a love hate relationship with. Some products I love like their advanced repair therapy super vitalizing creamย but their toner and cleanser did not work for me at all. ย At the time when Nooni came out with their lip balm and oil, I was on a lip treatment binge which made me extra excited to try these out. ย This isn’t going to be a super long review since there isn’t that much to explain, so let’s get into the review!

How to use:
Apply an even amount of the lip treatment all over the lips.Noon water blending lip maskProduct packaging:
Packaging for this product is very simple but sleek. ย The whole jar is a frosted plastic with the product name on the top of the lid and the bottom with a sticker that has all the usual information.Noon water blending lip mask

Noon water blending lip maskOn the inside when you screw off the lid is another plastic lid to keep away dirty and air from entering into the product. ย On top of the cover is a spot where you can put your plastic spatula which comes in handy.

Noon water blending lip maskTexture/ Finish:
For me personally, I like a thicker lip balm that would last longer on my lips. ย I was quite surprised when I first used this lip mask to find out the texture is a lot lighter then I was expecting. ย The texture of this lip mask is more watery then I was imaging, since when I think lip mask, I think of something thicker. ย This one is kind of reminds me of vaseline if it wasn’t so soft and not as oily. ย It definitely clings onto the lips a lot better then Vaseline but it doesn’t hold on for dear life like my beloved
Aritaum ginger sugar overnight lip mask. For me personally, I would actually use this more of a day lip balm since it isn’t as sticky and thick. ย On the lips, it gives it a nice slight glossy without that “I drooled all over my lips”.ย Noon water blending lip mask

Noon water blending lip maskLasting power:
For me, I’m not sure if it is because I’m a dry person or that I just talk to much, but this lip balm doesn’t last that long on me. ย On average, I’d say it lasts about 1 hour at most. ย Does it leave a moisturizing finish at least? ย Hmmmm kind of? ย I mean it does its job for the time being, but I wouldn’t say it is the most moisturizing thing on earth.

Fragrance?:
There is a slight apple scent to it, but unfortunately for me, it smells like this one apple deodorantย I had as a kid and I can not shake that memory out of my brain! ย The scent does fade away after application. ย Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:
– moisturizing enough for the time being
-texture melts into the lips

Con:
-isn’t hydrating enough for the long run
-scent smells a little off after a while

Repurchase?:
Not memorable enough for me repurchase.

Ingredients:
Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate/Dimer Dilinoleate Copolymer, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Monascus Extract, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Lecithin, Isostearic Acid, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Isopropyl Myristate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Methyl Nicotinate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Capsicum Frutescens Fruit Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Tribehenin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Lactic Acid, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Water, Butylene Glycol, Apple

How to use:
1. Use the wand applicator to smooth an even layer of your dry, clean lips.
2. Reapply whenever desired.

Noon water blending lip oilPackaging:
Like the lip mask, packaging for this lip oil is simple and sleek, which coordinates very well with the rest of the branding. The lip oil is housed in a slightly frosted plastic tube. Screwing off the lid, you’ll find a doe foot applicator which to be honest, isn’t the my first pick for an applicator but meh. ย The packaging is quite deciving because the tube looks tall, but once you screw off the lid, the section where the oil is housed is shorter then the lid… makes no sense to me.

Noon water blending lip oilThe doe foot applicator isn’t flexible in the least bit, it’s a stiff thing that is kind of a pain to work with but it does its job fine.

Texture/ Finish:
When I hear a lip oil, I always think if just something greasy and thin on my lips. ย Luckily, this is not that thin mess I had in mind but something a little more substantial. On the lips, it coats them nicely and works nicely as a layering product. ย It gives the lips a nice glossy finish but again, nothing with high shine.

Lasting power:
Like the lip mask, for me, this doesn’t last that long. ย Wore alone, it lasts about an hour before it is completely absorbed. ย Layered on top of the lip mask, it lasts a little bit longer, about two hours or so. ย Hydrating level after the product has been fully absorbed isn’t that high to be honest. ย My lips kind of just goes back to being dry and sad, not as dry and sad as before application but not as plump and hydrated as I would hope for them to be.

Fragrance?:
This lip oil has a very strong mint scent to it, somethingย I’m not too big of a fan of. ย Heck, I don’t even like mint gum because it is like chewing toothpaste! ย The scent of it is way too strong but it doesn’t linger that long after application which is good. ย Smell-o-scale: 7.10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:
-adheres to the lips okay

Con:
-doesn’t provide deep moisture
-scent is too strong for my liking

Repurchase?:
No.

Overall thoughts:
I’m not too impressed with this product to be honest. ย I was hoping it was going to be something like the A’pieu honey lip oil that I like, but it is nothing like that product at all. ย The texture isn’t what I’m looking for, and the product doesn’t give a long-lasting hydrating effect which is something I’m always in need for. ย I have read some people do like these two products, but for me and my dry skin, this didn’t work out.
