Moonshot micro correctfit foundation review I Best K-beauty foundation?

Since I had such good luck with the Moonshot micro correctfit cushion, I was super hyped that there was a foundation version of the cushion.  From the description, this is supposed to be exactly like the cushion foundation but in a liquid and bottled-up form.  Moonshot has truly been killing it in the base makeup department, along with Missha and Clio lately and this new foundation is definitely one to check out when you guys are shopping for a foundation because it is BOMB!  Let’s get into it and let me convince you ;).

Product packaging:
I love that the lid is the same ombre purple as the cushion, just without the glitter.  The bottle is real frosted glass, so be careful if you are going to be carrying this around.

And yes, this foundation comes with a pump!! WHOOOOO.  You also have full control with the pump and can pump out just half if you so desire.

Colour/ pigmentation:
Just like how the description stated, this foundation is highly pigmented!  There are only three shades unfortunately and all of them look very different from each other with a huge jump from each shade.  I got shade 201 Beige since it looked the closest to shade #23 while shade 301 looks way too tan and orangey but it might just be the lighting too.

201 beige seems to match my Mac NC25 yellow undertone skin color well, but I do find it a tad bit pale on my face.  I could definitely balance it out if I used a bit of bronzer, but I don’t have a cream bronzer on hand, unfortunately.

Let’s test this out!

My skin has been quite irritated lately with the seasons changing and my period around the corner.

I would dab the foundation on evenly to make the blending process a bit easier, especially with this medium to high coverage foundation.

Texture/ Finish:
This foundation has a semi-matte finish, so those of you who have dry skin like me, make sure to use a very moisturizing base like the Missha skin glow balm I just reviewed.  That works like magic and combats the dryness.  Since I don’t have dry skin, I don’t like to set my foundation with powder.  After three hours, the foundation dries down to a semi-matte finish anyways.

This foundation has some of the best adherence formulas, making my skin look flawless and natural.  I found myself looking in the mirror so often, admiring how flawless and poreless my skin looked. I definitely would not putt it under my eyes since it will get crepey looking, so use a separate concealer for that.

Coverage:
This foundation has a medium to high coverage and builds easily without caking.  Damn, me looking at the close-up, look at the side of my nose!  It looks perfect!!!

And a full face!  I think I could have used a bronzer or something.  I look a bit pale hehe but other than that, 201 beige is almost the perfect shade for me.  It gives it a slightly brightened look without looking like I have a floating face.  I hate it when I’m watching a K-drama and the girls in there have a floating pale face.  The makeup artists on set need to be fired!!  Or at least petition for K-beauty brands to have more shades damn it.

Honestly, this foundation might be my favorite!  This is quite close to Etude House double lasting foundation but I actually like Moonshot’s better since it doesn’t have that slight grey undertone.  I’m not talking about the Etude house double lasting foundation serum version, I’m talking about the original.  The serum version was just tragic….

Lasting power:
The moonshot micro correctfit foundation has an amazing lasting power of an average 9+ hours before I look like a crusty butthole.  This doesn’t surprise me since the adherence is top-notch.

Fragrance?:
The Moonshot micro correctfit foundation kind of smells like tofu and foundation.  It doesn’t smell earthy in any way and it isn’t unpleasant.  The scent does fade after application with a smell-o-scale of 4/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:

Overall thoughts:
Wow, it has been a while since I’ve given out my holy grail seal of approval.  Moonshot definitely did not disappoint with this foundation and I can see this becoming a cult favorite.  With its amazing adherence formulation to its natural and flawless look, while concealing pores, this foundation will be my go-to for not only special occasions but even every day.  I’m highly impressed with it and wish they will come out with more shades because everyone really needs to be able to try this!!  I hope one day they expand globally and target the overseas market as well.  For now, you’ll just have to find it online with the links I’ve provided you guys!
