img_7383-1First off, I got to apologize to Bisou (aka. Bisou Beauty bar) LOL.  She’s gonna bloody kill me for taking so damn long on posting this review.  She sent me this a while ago (like two months ago I think?) and asked if I’d like to try these.  Since they were a brand I haven’t heard of much, I definitely wanted to give it a go.  Polatam is a relatively new and became super popular very quickly and I can definitely see why.  If you want out check out my first review on the Polatam pure cream hydro radiance, click on the link!  I really fell in love with those masks and I do have to say, after getting more and testing them out more, they are definitely holy grail status.  Let’s see if these are just as good.  Let’s go~

Description of product:
Polatam’s Water Gel Extra Force Mask is a soft and silky sheet mask made of cupro cotton which can hold up to 10 times the amount of essence than regular cotton sheet masks!

Cupro cotton is made from cotton linter fibers, which are the soft, innermost fibers which encompass cotton seeds, respun and formulated into an amazing soft material that can hold ten times the amount of water than cotton can, and is also hypoallergenic.  Great for all skin types.

How to use:
After you have cleansed and toned your face, apply the sheet mask onto the face, making sure everything is sitting nicely.  After 15-20 minutes, take the sheet mask off and massage the essence into the skin.  You can either skip your serums/essence/ ampoules you normally use or apply it just like how you would regularly and then continue on with the rest of your routine.

Quick tip: Since after you have taken the sheet mask out, there is a whole lot of essence left over, like so much that I can cover my whole body with, put about five-six facial cottons into it and let it soak up.  Fold up the package and then use the essence soaked cottons for another sheet mask treatment.  I suggest you guys not leaving it out for too long, use it up within 1-2 days.

img_7386Product packaging:
Product packaging is quite standard to the usual sheet mask packaging.  Foil packaging that you rip open and inside sits the sheet mask itself.  The sheet mask material is the same as the cream hydro radiance version, both made with the curpo cotton.  It is super soft to the touch, soft on the skin but it seems to retain the essence for a long time and never dries out on me even after 20 minutes which is very impressive.

Like I did last time, I will be walking through the demo while explaining the rest of my review categories.
img_6962So I honestly don’t have that many skin concern at the moment other then hydrating my skin, maybe reducing the slight redness around my cheeks.

img_6963The darkness around my eyes are unreal.  All those late nights staying up, writing blog posts and editing photos.  Sigh my parents don’t understand, they are just fixated on “why you no sleep at night eh?  Why you go sleep when the sun comes up?”  Well first, I’m a vampire, and I’m a blogger.  Does that explain it well enough mother?  Cheese….

img_6964Okay let’s test this mask in the optimal repairing version out!

img_6966Sheet mask fit:
One of the things I struggle with is sheet masks fitting on my damn five finger forehead.  A lot of sheet masks just stop around 3/4 of the way.  I mean it isn’t a big issue but it is definitely a plus when a sheet mask finally fits my alien forehead.  The most important cut for my is definitely the one right below the eyebrow since it will determine if the mask will sit properly around the under eye/ cheek bone area.  This ones from Polatam has no problemo in that department.

img_6969Excitement is real for my forehead.

img_697020 minutes later~
Notice how the sheet mask pretty much didn’t dry up anywhere? Yea… Polatam magic.

img_6971

img_6972Every time I take off the Polatam sheet masks, there is so much essence left, I have to take my hand and wipe it off my face and then moisturize the rest of my body.  SOOOO much essence left.

pH level:
pH 5 for the essence, meaning it is the closest pH level to human skin.  This also means it will least likely irritate your skin.

Fragrance?:
The fragrance is a bit strong for the essence.  It smells very strongly of floral hand soap to me although it isn’t as strong as after applying the mask to the skin.  Smell-o-scale=7/10.

Pro:
-super hydrating
-essence lasts long (doesn’t dry out fast)
-mask cut is perfect

Con:
-on the pricy side but definitely worth it

Repurchase?:
Most likely yes.

Stars given out of 5:
🌟🌟🌟🌟

Overall thoughts:
Although i didn’t give this a full 5/5 stars, these are very close to being holy grail status.  Although I can’t say I say any of the claimed benefits other then the moisturizing one (optimal repairing, brightening) since I only had three to use.  I personally liked the other version better since they were a tad bit more moisturizing for my super dry skin.  These are on the pricy side but I do think they are definitely worth at least trying out for yourself.  Overall these are absolutely great products and I highly recommend them.
