Nooni Spring water sprout smoothing toner Review

Nooni spring water sprout smoothing toner reviewAlongside with the other two Nooni products I was sent, I also got sent the other version of the toner which is the smoothing toner. ย This one reminds me of Son and Park’s beauty water which is also kind of like a toner with an gentle exfoliating function as well. ย I was super excited to test this one but sadly I think my skin didn’t like this product and reacted with tons of red spots on my cheeks.ย เฒ โ•ญโ•ฎเฒ  ย If you haven’t checked out my two other reviews of Nooni’s products, click here:

IMG_0771Product packaging:
This version of the toner looks pretty much the same as the essence one, but of course it is obviously not green but a frosted white plastic bottle. ย Also this one has green sprouts printed on the label, kind of looks like the exact same ones I use at work to garnish HAHA.

IMG_0774On the back of the label is the usually information, but of course all in Korean.

IMG_0775There is also a stopper on the top of the bottle which is always nice, especially with a klutz like me, pouring the whole bottle on the floor with my butter fingers. ย This dispenses just the right amount of product and I use about three to four shakes to get just the right amount on my cotton pad.

IMG_0776How to use:
“After cleansing, saturate cotton pads and gently wipe away dead skin cells and impurities. #memetip: Using your middle finger to hold the moist cotton pad reduces friction between your cotton pad and skin. This toner comes in a jumbo size of 350ml, so use generously! Use it on other rough areas such as your elbows and feet.”

Texture/ Finish:
Unlike the essence version, this one is a lot more watery, a lot more like typical toner. ย From the pictures down below, you can see it run down my skin effortlessly. ย I like to use this with a cotton pad, placing it in-between my third finger with my second and fourth finger holding it for me to get a good grip and get that gentle exfoliate. ย The toner absorbs into the skin quickly and does not leave any sticky residue.

IMG_0778Fragrance?:
nooni emuslion toner
The fragrance in this product is far too strong for what it is suppose to do to the skin. ย As I have mentioned it in my other Nooni toner review, both toners are way too heavily scented, especially if they are trying to push the au naturel theme. ย What my nose can sniff out, the best description I can give you is that it smells exactly like Herbal Essence shampoos. ย The same floral, slightly fruit, very heavily scented to make you think you are in the tropical rainforest. ย Don’t get me wrong, I like the scent but we have to be extra careful with my faces because more fragrance equates to more chemicals. ย No thank you! ย I hope to see them skip on the fragrance nice time. ย Smell-o-scale: 8.5./10.

ย Also I think the fragrance might be the reason to my skin reacting to this product. ย I didn’t change anything in my routine other then the toner and my skin started to get itchy throughout the day and I got slight red bumps around my cheek area. ย Keep in mind, I don’t have sensitive skin nor do my skin usually react to 95% of the products I test out to review. ย After I stopped using it, it went back to normal. ย I’m quite sad since this product really did give me a boost of hydration.

Results:
I’m not sure if I was expecting too much in terms of the product being able to remove dead skin or was the removing functionally too gentle for my liking, but it didn’t remove enough for me to like it. ย If you were expecting it to peel like my holy grail peeling gel (Secret Key lemon d-toc peeling gel), don’t get this product. ย If you want a toner that is super hydration with the bonus of possibly gradually removing your dead skin in the most gentle way possible, this product could be for you.

Pro:
-gives the skin boost of hydration; super moisturizing
-affordable price point
-large amount of product (350 mL)

Con:
-skin reacted to it (itchy, small red bumps)
-way too heavily fragranced

Overall thoughts:
I really wanted to love this product since I really liked the concept of what this product wanted to achieve. ย I thought maybe this product could be the more accessible version of the Son and Park beauty water (which I just received in the mail!! Excited to test it out!) since it has almost the same functionally. ย Sadly my skin didn’t like it and reacted to it with itching and red bumps. ย Overall I think this product has potential. ย I feel like this product needs a 2.0 version, updated and improved version if you will. ย This product isn’t horrible by any means and if you are curious to see if this will work for your skin, Memebox also has a great return policy of 101 days or your money back (used or new!). ย Out of the three Nooni products I have tried so far, I’d recommend their Advanced Repair therapy super vitalizing cream. ย It has a very faint fragrance of citrus and the texture is like no other moisturizer I have tried by far. I can also see it working for all skin types with its non-greasy finish. ย Love it!

What do you guys think about this product? ย Have you tried it for yourself? ย What are your thoughts on it? ย Let’s chit chat in the comments down below and tell each other our thoughts! ย I’ll see you there.
