Propolis is one of my most favourite ingredient in the world and my dry skin loves it!ย Any new propolis or honey product releases, I’m the first one in line for me.ย By Wishtrend came out with their own propolis ampoule and I just had to see how it compares to my beloved Cosrx propolis ampoule.ย I wanted to see if it would be able to give me the same hydration boost and an instant glow. I’ve actually been really impressed with the By wishtrend line since I find their sister line, Klairs, to be built more for those with normal to oily skin type.ย Let’s try this out!

How to use:
After cleansing, prep the skin with toner.ย Dispense 3-4 drops of the ampoule and spread it all over the face.ย Finish with the rest of your skin.
Product packaging:
This propolis comes in a glass bottle and a dropper.ย This is quite a standard packaging and well, it works.ย No complaints, nothing to write home about.
I do appreciate that the bottle has a dropper seal on it.ย Some products in the past doesn’t have that stopper and it just gets me nervous every time I open it.
Texture/ Finish:
The texture of Wishtrend’s propolis seems lighter than the Cosrx ones and doesn’t give me the same glow.ย However, I do think people with normal to even oily skin type might be able to appreciate it more since it will still I’ve you that hydration boost without being too heavy.
As you can see, it also absorbs into the skin relatively quickly and doesn’t leave my skin glowy but does make it feel much more hydrated and also helps soothe the redness around my cheeks.ย If you guys don’t know already, honey has natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammation properties as well as it being super hydrating.ย It is also loaded with antioxidant effects!
Let’s test this out on the skin!
I promise the dropper isn’t touching my skin. Please don’t mimic the influencers on Instagram that love to drip tons of product on their face.ย It makes me cringe seeing the dropper touch their face and then you stick the dropper back into the bottle.ย Like.. BACTERIA HELLOOOO.
There is a definite boost in the glowy skin department but again, my dry skin drinks it like it is nothing.
Fragrance?:
There’s a very light honey scent but it is very faint and doesn’t linger after application.ย Smell-o-scale: 2/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Pro:
-light hydration (mostly because I have dry skin, it would be quite hydrating for other skin types)
-absorbs into the skin without a sticky feeling

Overall thoughts:
I think this is a solid product and it does exactly what it says.ย For my very dry skin, this propolis ampoule sunk into my skin almost immediately but it did leave a light dewy glow.ย Overall I liked this product but I wasn’t blown away.ย I think people that have normal, combo or even oily skin may enjoy this a bit more than me.ย I’d give it one and a half thumbs up and would consider it in the future if I was in the market for a propolis ampoule.
