Innisfree lip sleeping mask (green tea & canola oil) review

Innisfree lip sleeping mask (green tea & canola oil) reviewIt has been an absolute struggle to find a replacement for my beloved Aritaum ginger sugar lip mask.ย  Sadly, it has been discontinued and got rebranded under Etude House oddly enough.ย  So to now venture out and find some sort of replacement, I came across these Innisfree lip sleep masks which I haven’t seen anyone talk about.ย  I personally haven’t really extensively tried a lot from Innisfree as a brand since majority of their products seem to cater towards those with oily or acne prone skin types.ย  These lip masks do seem promising since they were relatively high ranking against Korean consumers. I’ve personally tried quite a few lip mask treatments including the famous Laneige lip mask, however I was not impressed. Let’s get into the review!

Innisfree lip mask reviewProduct packaging:
I’ve always thought Innisfree packaging is always super cute, playful and represents what ingredients they are using from “nature”. Although I’m not the biggest fan when it comes to lip balms in a jar due to hygienic reasons, I’ll still get over that fear if it is amazing.ย  I got both versions for the lip sleeping mask since I didn’t know if the formula would be different or if it was just the scent.ย  These oddly didn’t come with any type of spatula either, so you really have to use your fingers to apply.

Innisfree lip mask reviewTexture/ Finish:
The texture of these lip sleeping masks isn’t as thick as I was thinking it would be.ย  I mean come on, it says “lip sleeping mask”.ย  I usually associate sleeping masks to be thicker, but these aren’t thick.ย  They sit on your lips somewhat light, slick but not in the gross oily type of feel.ย  Laneige sleeping lip mask feels heavy, kind of oily but never gives me that long-lasting hydration I need.

Both of these lip balms have the same texture, just the scent and a few ingredients added to it are different.ย  I personally wouldn’t buy both of them, just choose one of the two.

Innisfree lip sleeping mask reviewHere are my lips.ย  They aren’t super chapped right now since I did use my Aritaum ginger sugar lip mask the night before.ย  I swear, my lips are added to that lip mask like its crack.ย  Once I’m off it, my lips is a good representation of the sahara desert.

Innisfree lip sleeping mask review ingredients

And here is the lip mask on. I personally wouldn’t have called this a lip sleeping mask since I didn’t find it to give me that long lasting hydration I needed throughout the night.ย  This is an amazing day time lip balm for me though!

Fragrance?:
To my surprise, both lip masks doesn’t have fragrance to it.

Pro:
-doesn’t feel grossly heavy on the lips
-light hydration for my lips throughout the day

Con:
-not heavy duty enough to be an overnight mask for me

Repurchase?:
Maybe, if I’m in need of a day time lip balm.

Overall thoughts:
I don’t think these lip sleeping masks fron Innisfree is bad, however it is nothing too stellar about it.ย  Its an easy lip balm that does give me a good amount of hydration, however it isn’t enough for my super dry lips to keep the flakey lips away.ย  Overall I give this a passing, average grade but this might work for you!ย  Who knows!
