I'm from Honey mask reviewThose with dry skin, honey should be one of your favourite products. Not only is honey ridiculously hydrating for the skin, it is also natural antibacterial, full of antioxidants and also help pores unclog.  If you were looking for that cool kid in the block, this is it.  Look no further.  Right when I was getting back from Hong Kong, I checked my email and Wishtrend offered to send me this mask.  Of course I said yes since I’ve actually been eyeing it myself for a long time but it was on the pricer side so I never got around to buying it for myself.  So let’s see if this product is worth it shall we? (/^▽^)/

IMG_6026How to use:
After you have cleansed and toned your skin, apply this mask onto your whole face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.  When the time is up, wash off and continue on with the rest of your skincare routine.

IMG_6025Product packaging:
I absolutely love the packaging from this brand.  Since their branding is “I’m from”, it make sense for them to stick to a simplistic and sophisticated packaging.  From the honey comb detailing of the cardboard box to the simple clear glass jar and a Parisian looking label, everything seems to come together seamlessly.

IMG_6028The jar is a glass jar, so I wouldn’t recommend anyone to travel with this.  The screw on lid is very sturdy and seals in the product no problem, so if you do really have to travel with it, you’ll have nothing to worry about.

I'm From I'm honey maskThis mask also comes with a plastic spatula which is always a nice thing to have.  You don’t want your skincare products to be a bacteria farm so make sure to use a spatula!  I’ve gotten to the point where it is almost uncomfortable to stick my fingers into any of my skincare product nowadays after getting used to using a spatula.

IMG_6031Texture/ Finish:
One of my favourite features of this product is the texture and the fragrance.  I won’t get too into the fragrance in this section, but this mask seriously is the exact same texture, smell and colour as the caramel sauce I have to make at work.  It’s awesomeeeeee!  To my surprise, this mask is easy to spread on the face and you need about a dime size to fully cover your face.  When time is up to wash the mask off, you are left with a deeply hydrated face and also your skin will feel surprisingly softer and smoother.  Not a lot of masks are able to give me instant results, let alone long lasting results as well.  From just my first time trying this mask a month ago, I already knew this would be a holy grail product.  I had to make sure I wasn’t wrong, so I kept using it for the past month.  It’s safe to say, this is a mask I will be repurchasing for the rest of my life.

IMG_6032The bottom of the mask looks exactly like a honey pot with bits of honey comb in it. My spatula can’t reach all the way to the bottom of the jar, so I just leave it like that.

Moisture level measurements:Screen Shot 2016-08-15 at 1.33.35 AMI think the measurements says it all.  Not only does my skin feel and look hydrated, the numbers are also proof that it isn’t a lie.

pH level:
This mask has a pH level of 5, meaning neutral.  What does neutral mean?  This means the pH level  is close to the pH level of human skin, therefore it would most likely not irritate the skin.

Fragrance?:
Like I mentioned above, this honey mask reminds me of the caramel sauce I have to make at work that goes with our famous bread pudding.  There are subtle hints of the rich honey smell, but my brain has already wired itself to remembering the scent as melted butter and brown sugar with the end note as dark rum.  So good!  I don’t usually like really sweet smells, but this scent is divine.  After application, the scent still lingers for about five minutes or so.  Smell-o-scale: 7/10 for the strength of the fragrance.  If you are very sensitive to scent, you may not like this product but I think this is one that won’t make you puke.

IMG_5874Ooooookay!  Let’s try this stuff on.  It took so long to set up my lights and everything.  I couldn’t wait to put on the mask since it felt sooo dang dry.

IMG_5875My usual concerns with my skin is dead skin cells chillin’ all over my face, especially my nose, which in return makes my complexion dull and sad.  I am always look for hydration and anything that could possibly calm the skin down since my cheeks always seems to be red and slightly irritated.  Honestly speaking, I never have high hops for masks, sheet masks or jarred since they never seem to work enough of it’s magic for me to  be impressed.

IMG_5877Yea my skin is pretty irritated at the moment.  I have a feeling it’s the PMS side effect LOL.  MA PERIOD IS COMINNNNNNN”.  I knew it!  Okay, this is so TMI but I checked just now and there was a bit of blood.  No wonder!  I was wondering why on earth my back was hurting.  I thought I was getting old.  Phew~  Who else gets weird pains during or before a period?

IMG_5879Enough about periods, back to the mask LOL.  Not such a bloody mess.  Oh great, I got puns now. ( ̄へ ̄)

IMG_5880Yes, this was the moment I almost spilled the whole damn jar out.  Good job…

IMG_5881The texture is exactly like butter scotch or caramel.  Amber glory!

IMG_5882Luckily for me, this mask is super easy to apply onto the skin.  The creamy, sorta thick caramel texture spreads like a dream.

IMG_5883By the way if you are wondering, those are sponge curlers I got from Daiso which I’ve been really enjoying as an alternative to heat curling my hair.

IMG_5885Smells so goooooooood.

IMG_5888Okay 15 minutes is up and time to wash it off!

IMG_5890As you can see, my face is definitely a lot more hydrated and the redness around my cheeks has also calmed down a bit.  And no I didn’t photoshop it or anything, that would not be truthful enough to what the product can do for you.

IMG_5893Pro:
-ultra hydrating for the skin
-easy to apply + take off
-slightly calms the skin down

Con:
-on the pricier side (but totally justified in my humble opinion)

Repurchase?:
YES!  I would definitely repurchase this product when I run out.  It is actually one of the only jarred masks I would repurchase.

Stars given out of 5:

Overall thoughts:
Oh hello, we just casually found another HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT WHATSUP!!!!!!  I get so excited when I find products that actually work amazing with a hint of “je ne sais quoi”.  This product apparently is one that is favoured by a lot of people, along with my blogger friend Fiddy!  I can totally see why.  With the amazingly awesome scent of amber glorinessness (that is so not a word), do it’s easy to use texture, this mask leaves so much hydration, it is almost unreal. I even contemplated if I needed to moisturize after but moisturizing the skin is a must!  I really highly highly recommend this product and don’t get scared of the price tag, you can get at least a good three month to half a year worth of uses with it depending on how many times you use it in a week.  Overall, this is an amazing product and I give you my three thumbs up approval and you should already be putting it in your chart!  GO GO GO!
