Packaging:
For some reason when I first unboxed the parcel, I was really surprised to see the tint packaged in a bag, a cute bag that is.ย  I don’t know, I was just expectingย it to come as is.

Faux pas lip tint Korean lip tintThe umbrella packaging is definitely the star and the rose gold touch is just perfect.ย  It is a bit chunky so if you want to travel with this, you’ve been warned.ย  I like that the tube is clear so you can see into it but storing is kind of a pain since if you store it right side up, it could fall over and you can’t really store it with the hook downwards.ย  You could hang it? LOLย

Lip tint Korean To get to the applicator, all you have to do is twist off the lid, and viola.ย  Nothing too complicated there.

Color/ Pigmentation + Texture/ finish:
One prominent feature of these tints is the pigmentation.ย  These are super pigmented and they have that velvet texture that is comfortable on the lips but can also look really natural if you want to blend it out as well.ย  All of these don’t have any glitters or shimmers and they look kind of matte but your lips won’t look shriveledย up.

Faux pas umbrella lip tint01 coral blossom: Warm tone orange coral shade with slight pink undertones

Velvet lip tintThis shade is quite unique in my collection and I didn’t think I would like it since its such an odd orangey coral shade.ย  However I can see myself wearing it time to time with a simple eye make up, heavy on the blush and this lip tint, it would give a really innocent and cute look.ย  Tint wise though, this leaves more of a pink tint then an orange tint which is quite odd.

K-beauty tint02 Dry rosy lace: Warm reddish brown nude shade

Faux pas umbrella tint swatchThis shade is the perfect nude shade for the fall and wintertime.ย  It isn’t too red but it also isn’t too brown to the point of looking like poop smeared on your lips, which somehow is a trend these days.ย ย

03 Rosy pink flower: Cool tone raspberry red shade

I’ve come across a ton of reds in my life but somehow, this is a more comfortable red that I’d be daring enough to wear out.ย  It has that slight translucency which makes it more comfortable for someone like me who is shy to wear bold lip shades hehe.

04 Magenta pink plain: Cool magenta pink shadeย you want a step up from 03 rosy pink plain, this is the shade for you.ย  04 magenta pink plain has a more magenta undertone with almost raspberry undertones.ย  It isn’t super bold but still looks gorgeous and striking on the lips.

05 apple red dot:ย Warm tone bright cherry red

05 apple red dot is more of the traditional fire engine red you’d see often.ย  If you really like reds and want a matte look but with a comfortable velvet formula, this shade is definitely for you.ย  I wish my teeth were slightly whiter since shades like this make the yellow in my teeth more pronounced… sigh.

06 Chili orange stripe: Warm burnt orange shade

Normally I really don’t like oranges but this is so pretty!!ย  It isn’t super bright and has that slightly brown, burnt nude element to it and I’m super excited to wear this out *gasp*!ย  The name Chili orange really suits this shade :D.ย

07 Beige pink see-thru: Warm brown beige-pink nude shade

I’m not sure if I’d ever wear this out since my skin tone is so plain, the darkness of this shade might not match.ย  But I can see people with medium to dark undertones with this shade and rocking it!

08 Brick red check: Warmย tone brick shade with slight red + orange undertones

Brick red is also another great fall/ winter shade and would work on a lot of skin tones.ย  The dark nude shade actually kind of makes my lips look slightly more plump and bigger.ย  No wonder Kylie Jenner loves them matte dark shades haha.Faux pas velvet umbrella tint swatchesLasting power:
These surprisingly last quite a while with an average of 3 hours of wear before the product fades away.ย  The tint lasts all day and will not come off unless you got one of those tint removers, so definitely have one of those on hand.ย  My lips also don’t feel dry or chapped afterward which is quite impressive if I do say so myself.

Fragrance?:
The first thing I noticeย about these tints is the pleasant fruity, mango scent that fades after application. Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:
-super pigmented
-comfortable on the lips
-hydrating
-nice bendable velvet texture

Con:
-need more unique purple shades/ more shades!!

Repurchase?:
Yes!

Overall thoughts:
Although I’m almost never disappointed with Korean lip tints or any lip products in general, it takes quite a bit to impress me.ย  These faux pas lip tints aren’t only super pigmented, the formula, as well as the shade range, is so well thought out that it just gave me that wow factor.ย  Usually, K-beauty tint has that very strong, highlighter look to it but all of these tints even if they are lighter and brighter, they don’t have that highlighter element, making them all very wearable.ย  On top of that, they also have that velvet texture while still being moisturizing and light on the lips.ย  Overall I’m super impressed with these and if you can get your hands on them, I would definitely do so!ย  Two thumbs up~
