Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Betaine, Cetearyl Alcohol, 1-2 Hexanediol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/, Sodium Acryloyldimethyl, Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Lactate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Medica Limonum (lemon) peel oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil

How to use:
Don’t be fooled by the name “lotion”. ย This is a moisturizer and should be used after cleanser and toner. ย Just apply enough so your whole face and neck are moisturized.

Cosrx oil free ultra moisturizing lotion birch sapProduct packaging:
Like most of Cosrx’s products, they come in a simple but sleek frosted plastic bottle with a nice pump which you can easily control the amount you’d want. ย This bottle did come in a cardboard box, however I’ve had this for three months and I think I’ve already recycled it keke. ย There’s not much to the packaging other then a secure clear plastic cap. ย The bottle itself is lightweight so it is easy to travel with.

Texture/ Finish:
I’m always skeptical when it comes to gel like moisturizers since I have really dry skin and that texture usually isn’t hydrating enough for me. ย I had my doubts about this product but after using it for the first couple of days, I knew this product was good. ย Another moisturizer that Cosrx products that is also lightweight, grease free is their Honey ceramide full moisture cream which I LOVE! ย It is one of the few items that I have finished up and would definitely be a product I’d repurchase. ย This “lotion” is gel like in terms of texture but it is not runny at all. ย It stays put like medium peak egg whites. ย Sorry, that is the only way I could describe it haha.

Cosrx lotion reviewWhen you tilt the lotion, it does move a bit but it isn’t running down your hand like water. ย

IMG_4702After you massage it into the skin, the lotion absorbs very quickly and doesn’t live any type of greasiness to the skin. ย Instead, it leaves your skin soft and also it feels protected. ย For my dry skin, this works well during the winter time and also the spring/summer time. ย If I were to use this lotion during the winter time, I’d still top it off with a bit of facial oil since I like that extra layer of hydration and just to lock everything in. ย Old habits die hard.

Moisture level measurements:Screen Shot 2016-06-12 at 1.48.43 AMAs you can tell from the chart, the hydration that this moisturizer is pretty drastic, especially for a light weight moisturizer like this one. ย Not much to say about it other then, “look at the numbers” LOL.

pH level:
This moisturizer has a pH level of 5, meaningย neutral. ย In translation, this means the lotion is least likely to react badly to human skin.

Fragrance?:
When you first take a whiff of this moisturizer, it kind of smells like lemon pledge or those artificial lemon scented bathroom cleaner. ย Then there is a hint of the birch I believe. ย To me it smells like when I used to go camping, a combination of the camping tents, my uniform boots and the nature. ย It does need some getting used to , but the more you smell it, the more comforting it gets. ย Smell-o-scale= 6/10 in terms of the strength of the fragrance.ย

Pro:
-light weight, non-greasey
-highly hydrating
-affordable price

Con:
None!

Repurchase?:
Most definitely!

Overall thoughts:
I definitely had my doubts about this product, but I’m glad it worked great and it definitely came out on top. ย If you’ve been following me for a while and have read my other reviews, you know I’m super critical when it comes to the criteria that I look for that needs to be checked off with a hint of “je ne sais quoi” to be able to get my stamp of AWESOME-NESSSSSS. ย I’m glad to report, I’ve found another one!! ย This product from Cosrx is definitely here to stay with it’s light-weight formula, deep hydration and protection for the skin. ย I’d highly recommend you guys check it out and I can see this truly being a universal moisturizer. ย Three thumbs up and GO BUY IT ALREADY!! ย (Please use my links above if you do. ย Thank you! <3)

Sounds amazing!!! But would you recommend the honey one then, or this one? Have you tried the other cream from Cosrx, e Hyaluronic Acid one in the big jar? I’m trying to decide which one I want to try!

I think I like both equally but I think this birch sap one would be more universally friendly since I know some people are sensitive to honey by products. And no I haven’t tried the hyaluronic acid moisturizer. I’d say maybe try the birch sap one as a starter ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, love your review on this lotion. I also just started using it more than a month now. It works ‘wonderfully’ and i have combination to acne prone skin (My cheeks usually feel dry in the middle of the day). Since i started, i dont feel flaky at all. It doesnt cause me break out and it helps a lot whenever i put on my matte-type foundation. I use it day and night, two pumps everytime and the lotion could last forever. Haha.

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one that enjoys this lotion! It sounds like it is going great for you :D. I wish the lotion could last forever but as a blogger, I always have to keep trying new products so I kind of get excited when I either get a smaller jar of things or finish a product :P.

hello christina. may i ask for some advice and recommendation from you as the beauty blogger??? my skin is actually dry but because of my skin is burn inside, i got oily skin especially around nose n chin area. what should i do for my skin?? n i’m only in the early 20. what should i wear in my skin routine as my skin is still young.. do i double cleanse my face follow by toner, essence and mosturizer?? hope u can give me some advice.. thank you.

Hmm it sounds like you have combo skin, which is the hardest to maintain to be honest since you have a little bit of both sides (dry skin and oily skin). You can try using a cleansing oil first, whether or not you use make up, since it will help inject moisture in the areas you need it as well as be able to control your T-zone. Secondly, use a cleanser that isn’t harsh on the skin (I recommend Cosrx low pH cleanser). Depending on where you live, temperature, humidity, it really depends. If you live in somewhere cold with harsh cold winds, I’d recommend you try some ceramide products (I like Holika Holika super cera cream or even Cosrx honey ceramide cream). If you want something more light weight, i’d definitely recommend you try the Cosrx birch sap lotion :). Hope that helps!

I definitely wouldn’t go with anything expensive or loaded with tons of anti-aging since it is overload for the skin. My philosophy is just to keep up with good cleansing and moisturizing and also use sunblock daily, you’ll be set for life~

hi, thankyou for your review, really helps me.
i wanna ask something if compared to cosrxPHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream, who more good for skin ?
want to try COSRX PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream, but cannot move on from this lotion ๐Ÿ™
    thankyou

I think it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a everyday, basic moisturizer that is super hydrating, I’d just stick with this one. If you want something that does a little more, especially for those with dry skin like me that get dry patches of skin, I’d go with the PHA cream. But do make sure you aren’t sensitive to the PHA cream because I heard some people are.
