Sheet masks honestly isn’t something I like to use because it takes so long and I usually don’t find myself overall impressed. Most sheet masks I have tried gives minimal hydration with other promised benefits, which I personally never see because I don’t like to use something more then two times if it isn’t that enjoyable to begin with.  I got sent these sheet masks from Commonlabs a while ago and have been trying them here and there, and already from my first time testing out these, I knew these were holy grail status.  Want to know why?  Check out this review~ Let’s go!

Who are Common lab?
“Common Labs studies the skin problems that we face in everyday life.
In order to care for constant stressed out skin,
In order to help survive the toxic environment of the city,
We came up with Common Labs- a brand that researches people, before the product.”

Even a common product can become unique when viewed from a different perspective.
A unique product doesn’t necessarily have to include a completely new ingredient that hasn’t been used before.  Rather, Common labs believes that a unique product is the result of observing and researching the people’s skin from a slightly different perspective.  In order to come up with a unique product, Common Labs never ceases to view things from a new perspective.

Product made with Common Sense are the best.
In the beauty market, an ingredient can be marketed as a main ingredient even when there are less then 1% of it inclued in the product.  However, it should be “common sense” that the main ingredient should make up most of the product.  When it comes to ingredients, Common Labs focuses on organic ingredients from nature.  As for subsidiary ingredients, we only include those that help maximize the effectiveness of the main ingredients.  We will make sure that you are able to experience the optimal effectiveness of the raw ingredients included in our products.

Good products should contribute to the Common Good.
Common Labs researches the safety of ingredients while completely excluding ingredients that irritates the skin.  In addition, we believe that a good brand should consider the common good of the environment, by partaking in activities such as cruelty free manufacturing.

How to use:
Take step one out of the package, slip your fingers into the pad and gently massage your whole face.  The AHA + BHA ingredients will gently remove dead skin cels and dirt from your skin.  After you are done with this step, you don’t have to rinse.  Just take out the sheet mask from step 2, place it on your face for 15-20 minutes and let the essence soak into your skin.  Once the time is up, pat the essence into the skin and your done!

Product packaging:
Packaging for this sheet mask is simplistic, sleek and modern looking.  To be honest, if I were to see this sheet mask in Olive Young or something, I would have possibly overlooked it since it kind of looks generic.  But once I read that there was a built in peeling pad in the system, I was sold!  I’m totally down to try anything with a peeling component in it.  On top of that, my skin has been looking a little dull lately, so Vitamin B+C would totally help me.

These sheet masks have a two step system to it, step one being the peeling pad and step two is the sheet mask itself.  Depending on which version you pick out, these do a slightly different thing.

Since this is a sheet mask, let’s do the review like a walk through.

Texture of the pad is like any other facial pad with the slight dome texture.  It feels soft on the skin, nothing like the Neogen pads which has that textured side and a soft side.

When I hear peeling, I always think of the Secret Key lemon peeling gel.  But this is one of those peeling products that uses enzymes to slowly peel your skin without making them look like eraser bits.  Sometimes I wonder if this is even effective.

But after I’m done with this step, my skin is slightly more glowy.  Not sure if that is from the essence soaked into the pad, but let’s just say it did its job.

Now onto the sheet mask.  This is the Vitamin B version.  As you can see, the mask is filled with this jelly looking essence, which I enjoy greatly since it isn’t dripping off my skin and also seems to stay on my skin for a longer period of time.  Every time I use these sheet masks, there is so much essence left in the packet that I just save it for the next three to four days and use it in my skincare routine.  If I’m lazy, I’ll just slather it all over my body.

The material is very thin, but somehow still very sturdy.  Because it isn’t super thick, it also sticks to my face like a glove and does not slip and slide.

Here is the essence.  Like I said before, this essence is on the thicker jelly side.

Fit (sheet mask):
The fit is perfect! It has everything I look for which is cover my five finger forehead, have the slit around the eye and nose area so it will sit properly, and not be too long on the chin area.

Now to play the waiting game.  Here is the sheet mask right after application.

15 minutes later, the sheet mask is still moist with essence.

Most of the time, there is still way too much essence on my face so I end up just spreading it down my neck and chest.

What is great about this sheet mask is that the essence is so hydrating, I actually don’t even need moisturizer.  That says a lot for someone with super dry skin!  Seriously, this stuff is amazing.

Moisture measurements

Fragrance?:
Fragrance isn’t strong but there is a slight soapy scent with a hint of laundry detergent.  Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:
-super hydrating
-comfortable sheet mask material
-peeling pad included!
-sheet mask doesn’t slip on the face

Con:
Nothing!

Repurchase?:
Yes!

Overall thoughts:
I think I’ve praised this sheet mask enough by now right?  Not much left to say other then I really enjoy this mask and it easily became a holy grail due to the high levels of hydration.  Best part is that it has a peeling system built into it.  For $2.60 each mask, this is seriously a good buy!  It is actually more expensive to buy it is Korea since a pack of 10 is 40,000 won.  So odd!  So if you want your skin to thank you, I’d definitely check these out on Amazon :).
